Hi Mary – I’m a stranger to you, but followed your link after you stumbled onto my humble blog this afternoon. Thanks for checking in! Unfortunately “Anonymous” is, I believe, my oldest (wise-cracking) brother, so I hope you didn’t get the wrong idea of me and my family (spending $7G on Christmas??!! No way!) Colleen, your taco salad with shell sounds delicious! And I’m a fan of grilled chicken salads too…yum! Peach tea…mmm!

Amy, cereal works! When my hubby has a craving for cereal for supper (very rarely) I’m amazed and grateful! My amazement comes from previous “oatmeal supper” budgets,no fun…but his cravings come from the fact that he’s not a breakfast person so he misses out on “cereal”. Poor man.

Jana! Um, my “birthday” didn’t arrive, but you know that as we’re chatting currently! I forgot you could vouch for those recipes, thanks! And those pesky egg whites! I’m either doing what you mentioned, or not getting it thick enough! 7 yo did a great job though, so it’s worth sticking L on it!

First what about you? Did YOU have a nice birthday?!? I’ll let the ret of your blog readers try and figure THAT one out…

Second, I can vouch for the Corn Loaf AND Frog Eyed Salad, as those are 2 recipes Mary handed down to me and are faves around here.

Third, I can also testify to the eggs coagulating…I do it almost every time. I think from now on I will have L watch it for me…inevitably I get side tracked and forget. I end up trying to pick pieces of white egg out…
