I think that making the silver origami ornaments are great and I also think they are spectacular to do with kids. Origami can be very beneficial for children. Cookies and such, well, I’ll leave that to the wife.

Thanks for sharing your memories, Geri! I’ve never done this with my kids before, but am wanting to. I have done it with women’s groups…and can vouch that it’s the BEST way to kick off the Christmas season with friends.

It’s hard to face the holidays in a new place with all new faces. I hope you find that this new path is soon lined with special people to bless the transition. I’ve found that my friendships online really bless when the ones in real life aren’t very accessible!

I just wanted to post that I think that cookie party idea is wonderful! I remember my Mom doing that when I was little and my brothers and sisters and I would scamper through the throng of people stealing cookies here and there…I wish I had a group of friends where I live that I could do that with but I just moved here. It is a great memory that I have still though!

Weel, I’ve never heard of Canadian Living, but maybe it’s worth looking up! I have a friend or two and a cousin who would love the gluten-free recipes!
