Thanks, Holly, it was hard, but I feel really grateful that it wasn't all of us down at the same time, or more than one even. Hopefully the rest of us miss out! ;) That would be fine with me! So far so good...

Hi Julie, thanks for dropping by, and for sharing your sisters blogsite. I'll have to stop by there soon. :) Writing is good for the soul, and never a ramble is too long for this comment section!

Have a great week!

Mary, this has nothing to do with soups...(although that is a very good suggestion up there as well!) :)

Just wanted to say that I'm so very sorry for the illness in your family! So hard!

Hi Mary!
This recipe for the creamed soup seems so easy and sound good. Thanks for sharing it!
I know what you mean about sharing your blog with friends and family. I am wondering how my family will take it, although my little sister (not so little anymore now that she is married with kids!) did start a blog, after being inspired by mine. She writes a lot, mainly poetry, and is a christian as well.
If you are interested in seeing some of her writing, her blog is:
sevenshadesofred.blogspot.com
She has tremendous faith and I am always touched by her reflective poetry.
Anyways, I am rambling. Thanks for stopping by my page! I hope you all have a blessed week!

Yup, Jana, it was in 2000, can you believe it? Thanks for the additional info on how to use it.

I hope it works great for you guys, Geri. The only thing I was wondering about was the cornstarch, is that something that's okay? As for the P31 Ministries, when we got internet access, it was the first Christian women's website that I accessed. I was getting their magazine, and had always wanted to be a part of the women's groups there. I met Jana there, and several other wonderful ladies. At that time, it was free, now it's free with a subscription to their magazine. I unsubbed a few years ago. I went from there to a wonderful website http://www.raisinggodlytomatoes.com/ and became pretty active on their message boards. Jana did too, btw. :) Anywho, it's a great site for about every subject in the book that Christian women want to discuss, and I mean everything! I haven't been active on the boards there in forever though. I discovered blogging! Lol...

Leticia, I don't have a brand to recommend. I'd say any brand, and that way you wouldn't have to saute them first (if they were canned). I was thinking if you bought fresh mushrooms or celery, they'd have to be sauteed. The few times I've bought canned mushrooms, I've gotten them at Aldis. Do you have that chain in your state?

Hi Beck! :)

What a great idea! Especially since DH and I are on this health kick...Organic canned soups are $3+ and to use them in baking can really up the price (escpecially when regular canned soups are less than $1). This recipe looks like it'll really cut that cost and tasty looking too!!!

The Proverbs 31 Ministries...is that the web-site you are talking about? What did you think of it?

Wow, is THAT how long ago that was? I recently just whipped up a batch of this when I realized I was out.
There are some recipes I do like to have the canned, but in a pinch, this is great. Or if a recipe calls for 2 cans, I will do one real can and one of this.
