Giving Back

…I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me… Matthew 25:35

My thoughts at Writer…Interrupted today revolve around the generosity of believers to one another. A month or so ago, we had an inspirational lady come speak to our Mom’s Group at church. She based her hour with us on this old hymn, and it really blessed me. May it bless you as well! Have a great Thursday!

Little Is Much When God Is In It

by Kittie J. Suffield

1. In the harvest field now ripened,
There’s a work for all to do.
Hark, the voice of God is calling,
To the harvest calling you.

CHORUS:
Little is much when God is in it.
Labor not for wealth or fame.
There’s a crown and you can win it,
If you go in Jesus’ name.

2. Does the place you’re called to labor
Seem so small and little known?
It is great if God is in it,
And He’ll not forget His own.

CHORUS:

3. When the conflict here is ended
And our race on earth is run,
He will say, if we are faithful,
“Welcome home, my child, well done.”

  1. The chorus is very powerful! It almost made me want to cry…We must remember that are life here is temporary. All the pain, sadness, sickness, poverty will be gone and we will have to joy in eternity.

What a beautiful promise our Savior gave us.

    Leticia’s last blog post..Fun things for Friday…

  2. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that God is in the small things, but I find that since I have my own family I am recognizing Him more and more in places I never thought to look for Him before. I believe that witnessing His love through my DH and son really helps me to acknowledge His existence more than I maybe once did. I look into my son’s beautiful little smiling face and don’t understand how there are people in this world with children that don’t believe in anything. Seeing those twinkling innocent little eyes make me know that God is out there in the world around us.

“And He’ll not forget His own”-what a wonderful reminder to know He is there for us no matter what!

    Thanks Mary!

  3. Such a powerful song and it’s not even in most church hymnbooks! I’m glad you girls were blessed by it too.

    Hugs to you both!

Geri…counting down time for you, huh!
