It takes discipline at first, but making a clean break isn't as hard on the kids as you'd think--as long as you can be serious about it, lol. We have much in common! My mom was always reading for fun and my dad read to us a lot, so I love to read. But, my husband never did get into reading. And like your husband he is very manually oriented.
