The Christmas Program was tonight. Remember my six year old, and her growing paranoia about being in the spotlight?
She did great! Her lines were the laugh of the night (purposely), unless you count my toddler prematurely leaving her place as an angel and taking numerous center-stage “bows” before the audience. (No shyness there…yet).
Thank you for your prayers, this was a wonderful opportunity for growth in my six year old. She pushed through her fear for the most part in the last few practices (clenching and reclenching her hands in her skirts, forcing her lines out), and tonight it was hard to tell she’d ever had any problems.
God is good, all the time!
That’s wonderful! I know you were beaming for her!
I am Mary’s Mom and her Dad and I were there for the Christmas program last night. Her youngest was the most spontaneous angel I’ve ever seen! Those bows … 3 or 4 of them at least … stole my heart. Mary’s dh and her mil nearly split their sides laughing. Even her sisters in their places on stage smiled at their sister’s antics! You know, a merry heart doeth good like a medicine and Mary’s cold should be gone as a result. Children really are a heritage of the Lord. And just think, without their fathers, not one of these precious children would exist for it takes their father and their mother to create that child. Mary is blessed in her dh for he interacts on every level with his family. Hey, what can I say? I LOVE this family!
Aw, thank you, Mom! We LOVE you too, and are so glad you are back in our lives and can come to Christmas programs again!
(As opposed to pastoring out of state for those of you who wonder what I meant!)
My son’s opening night as Edmund in the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was yesterday. It’s just so amazing to see how he’s grown from a shy seven year old who walked out of an audition to a confident 12 year old who has finally found his “place” to shine.
I know how proud you must be, Mary!
well done to your girls 🙂
Thanks Gina and Jen!
Edmund is a big part, Gina! Wow, good for him!
